Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Introduction
Hummz is operated by WeApptivate Link Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in New Delhi, India ("Hummz", "we", "us"). Hummz provides a community operating system delivered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, together with optional customisation and custom development services. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how you may cancel, and when fees are or are not refundable, for each of these. It applies globally to all customers, subject to the mandatory consumer rights described in Section 5.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This policy governs the specifics of cancellation and refunds; the Terms of Service govern all other aspects of your use of the platform.
2. Agreements that take precedence
If you have entered into a separate signed agreement with Hummz — such as a contract, order form, or Statement of Work (SOW) — that sets out different cancellation or refund terms, that agreement controls to the extent it conflicts with this policy, for the products and services it covers. This policy applies wherever no such agreement exists or is silent.
3. Subscriptions
- Cancel anytime. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings on the platform.
- No further billing. Once you cancel, you will not be billed for any subsequent billing cycle.
- Access until the period ends. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period (monthly or annual). Cancellation does not shorten access you have already paid for.
- Current period non-refundable. Fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, whether billed monthly or annually.
- Discretionary refunds. We may, at our sole discretion, grant a full or partial refund in individual cases (for example, in the event of a documented service failure). Any such refund is decided case by case and does not create a right to a refund in any other case.
- Free trials. If your plan includes a free trial, you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. If you do not cancel, the subscription converts to a paid plan and the terms above apply.
4. Customisation & custom development
Customisation and custom development are professional services, quoted and scoped separately from your subscription (typically under a quote, order form, or Statement of Work).
- Deposits. Any upfront deposit or advance payment is non-refundable once work has begun, as it reserves engineering time and covers project set-up.
- Cancellation. If you cancel an engagement in progress, you remain responsible for fees for all work completed up to the cancellation date, together with any costs we have already committed on your behalf (for example, third-party licences or subcontractor time).
- Unstarted work. Amounts you have prepaid for work that has not yet started will be refunded.
- Accepted deliverables. Fees for milestones or deliverables that have been delivered and accepted are non-refundable.
The specific commercial terms of any engagement — including payment schedule, milestones, and cancellation terms — are governed by the applicable quote or SOW, which takes precedence as described in Section 2.
5. Your statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by agreement. For example, if you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Where such mandatory rights apply to you, they prevail over the terms set out above to the extent of any conflict.
6. How to cancel or request a refund
- Subscriptions: cancel directly from your account settings on the platform.
- Discretionary refund requests and custom development queries: email us at legal@hummz.com. Please include your account or order reference and a brief description of your request so we can respond quickly.
7. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days of approval; the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or payment provider and is outside our control.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
