Cookies Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, measure usage, and improve your experience. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels.
2. Cookie Categories
When you first visit hummz.com we ask for your consent. You can accept all, reject all, or choose per category, and you can change your choice at any time (see "Managing Cookies" below). We group cookies into three categories.
2.1 Necessary Cookies (always on)
Required for the site to function; they cannot be switched off. They include:
- Authentication and session cookies: Keep you signed in during your session.
- Security cookies: Protect against cross-site request forgery and other threats.
- Consent storage: We store your cookie choices in your browser (local storage key
hummz_consent_v1) so we can honor them on return visits.
2.2 Analytics Cookies (consent required)
With your consent, we use analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- PostHog: Product analytics (pageviews, feature usage). When enabled, PostHog sets first-party cookies in your browser. We use it in an "identified only" mode and do not enable session recording on the marketing site.
- Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager): Aggregate traffic and engagement measurement.
We also process some analytics server-side; those server-side events do not set browser cookies.
2.3 Marketing Cookies (consent required)
With your consent, we use marketing and advertising technologies to measure campaigns and show relevant content.
- Google (Ads / Tag Manager): Conversion measurement and advertising cookies, managed through Google Tag Manager.
3. Consent Mode and Third Parties
We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you grant consent, Google tags load with analytics and advertising storage denied, and no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Granting consent updates this in real time. Third-party providers operate under their own privacy policies:
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads) — measurement and advertising.
4. Managing Cookies
- In-product controls: Use the consent banner shown on your first visit, or the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer at any time, to accept, reject, or change individual categories. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- Browser controls: You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though blocking necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
5. Cookie Duration
- Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a set period (typically 30 days to 13 months) or until you delete them. Your stored consent choice persists until you change it or clear your browser storage.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for regulatory reasons. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
